The Construction Crew
The Foreman
Eric Pederson. Husband. Father. Boss. Don't let Julie tell you different.
Nobody does anything unless The Foreman gives the OK. Besides being in charge,
he's also the jack-of-all-trades. This makes it easy for The Foreman to get
along with the crew.
The Carpenter
Daniel "When can I hammer?" Pederson. Give him a piece of lumber (or steel, or
concrete, or plastic) and a hammer and get out of the way. Just don't give him
any nails; there is not a doctor on the worksite. Saws are also discouraged.
Thus, it falls to the jack-of-all-trades (aka The Foreman) to handle most
of the framing. No sweat.
The Painter
Amanda "What's a dropcloth?" Pederson. She'd rather paint pretty pictures
than apply waterproof sealant, so it falls to the jack-of-all-trades
(aka The Foreman) to do most of the painting. Fortunately, The Decorator
does her share of the painting, too. The Painter will also probably help
out when it comes time to apply joint compound. Can you say, "mud fight
in the basement?" No doubt the Carpenter will get involved.
The Decorator
Julie "Let's try it over there" Pederson. This whole thing was her idea.
She'll help with most jobs, but she won't touch electricity. That's fine
with the jack-of-all-trades (aka The Foreman), who'd rather not have to
rewire everything. The Decorator gets to select the wall coverings, carpet,
and furniture, while dragging The Foreman along against his will.
