The Family Room

Originally, this area had a crude L-shaped bar in the southwest corner and was divided from the rest of the basement with two short walls. The bar is long gone and one short wall has been removed.

This area will have a fireplace on the south wall and some comfy furniture. We will use a five foot wall as a divider from the rest of the basement. We wanted to leave the top of the wall open, as we are counting on the fireplace to heat the whole floor.

As soon as our work on the office is complete, we will be starting this area. Our goal is to have the fireplace operational by winter so we can enjoy it, even if the room isn't really finished.
